The Bellwether's Product Guarantee
It is a privilege to provide fiber and spinning tools for your enjoyment. I am committed to your complete satisfaction with the products you purchase and people you encounter. If any purchase from The Bellwether fails to meet your expectations, please return it within 15 days for exchange or refund. All merchandise ordered through our web site carries a 15-day purchase price money back guarantee. Please see the Conditions of Use page for more information on returns and the requirements for a product price refund.

Ordering
If you have any ordering problems, please email your items and I will contact you for payment details.

Shop online at your convenience, no sales tax if shipped outside Washington state! If you want to pick up your order, indicate 'pick up' in the comment field when ordering and provide a timeline in the comments field -- save on shipping and get a view of the parlor :-).

You must include a valid email address or phone number with your order. When you place an order with The Bellwether, shipping will be calculated and added to the price. If the shipment estimate was high, a refund for the difference will be issued to paypal payers. If the shipping estimate was low, you will be asked for the difference.

If you prefer not to order online, you can email your order (Please don't email credit card information!), order by phone, or mail it in. If you click "Check out" on your shopping basket and go through the Shipping page, you will get the shipping amount. If you wish, you can email your address and items to me, and I will email back a total with shipping. Mailing in an order runs the risk of the item selling out -- I recommend email or a phone call in addition to mailing in payment.

Payment
Payment is made using Paypal, Check, or Credit Card.

To make payment by check or money order mail it to The Bellwether, 290 Werner Road, Port Ludlow WA 98365. Orders paid by check will be held 3 days until the check clears.

To pay with a credit card, use Paypal's "Don't have a paypal account?" option (for help see here). If you prefer, I can contact you for Visa/Mastercard payments and run them directly. Please do not email credit card information.

Paypal Now puts you on Paypal right away for immediate payment of your order. You can also select, "Paypal when order is ready", to get a paypal request once I have your order ready to ship. This is a handy option to use if you want to request any special shipping or handling of your order not listed on the website, so I can adjust the total before sending the payment request.

Select the payment option desired when you submit your order. I pack orders in the order they are received, so orders to be paid by check are usually ready to ship when the check clears.

Books
I participate in the Amazon.com Associates Program. When books are purchased using the "In Association with Amazon.com" page, they are from the Amazon.com site; shipping and tax charge rules as set by Amazon will apply to any such purchases.

The Bellwether stocks a variety of titles of spinning and nalbinding books, these are directly listed on the website.

Shipping
Shipping is done via Priority Mail, or parcel post for international orders over four pounds. Postage is based on the weight of the package, plus a small handling charge, usually around $1. Weight includes the packaging weight, which is 1/2 pound or more depending on the size of the box needed. Please note if you are shipping outside the USA, and choose "First Class International", there is no tracking for this method. Tracking is only available via Priority Mail, and then only to some destinations. Please check with usps.com for more information on this.

The Bellwether ships internationally, to countries that are reported as "safest" to avoid fraud issues. Postal rate increases and the zoning of priority mail make it too complex to list rates here. Rates are based on the distance traveled. The originating zip-code for The Bellwether is 98362. You can calculate the postage for priority mail at http://postcalc.usps.gov/.

In the case of orders over 9 pounds or to countries other than the USA, your order total may require a change in the amount of postage (up or down). You will be informed of this change via email, either up or down as needed. When postage is increased, we will await your approval before finalizing the order. If you have already overpaid with Paypal, a refund will be issued for the difference.

I endeavor to ship all orders within 4 business days and will usually contact you via email should there be a delay. Please note that show schedules are posted on the home page and do affect shipment timeframes.

The webstore will confirm your order via and automatic email when it is placed. I use ClickNShip with the USPS and Paypal for all orders shipped Priority Mail. You will receive email from them when the order is shipped that will give you information on tracking your order. The Bellwether does not ship to countries currently under export limitations by the US Government.

Tax
As of July 1, 2008, Washington State Sales Tax must be based on the recipient's address within Washington State. This taxes (no pun intended) my webstore software beyond its limits, so I will be refunding any tax overpayments that occur, and using a 9% estimated sales tax rate. If you would like a correct total before making payment, please await an adjusted invoice for payment by check/money order, or use "Paypal When Order Is Ready" in the website's checkout rather than Paypal Express Checkout. My apologies for any confusion or problems you run into due to this -- the Department of Revenue feels this best reflects the direction of mail order sales. I am required by law to collect sales taxes on all merchandise delivered to addresses in Washington state.
